To start to honour colours, we have decided to choose yellow as the first one. In fact, yellow is one of the oldest colours in art history. It can even be found in cave paintings!
Yellow transmits feelings such as joy, optimism and happiness. Yellow has been associated with different gods as it is related to the sunlight.
In art, Van Gogh used yellow as one of the main colours for his paintings such as The Yellow House, Irises and The Starry Night.
Yellow has also inspired many musicians in songs such as Yellow of Coldplay or Yellow Submarine of The Beatles.
Yellow is also associated with the marketing of many fast food chains or the taxis in the United States.
Many countries use yellow in their flags such as Brazil, Vatican City, Germany and Sweden.
